Scott Oller

Scott Oller is a San Francisco-based artist known for his work in Yosemite and beyond.

As a filmmaker, he has extensively documented the phenomenon of waterfall rainbows in Yosemite. His 2012 documentary Rosetta is a Vimeo Staff Pick, and won Best Documentary at Loyola Marymount University’s Film Outside the Frame Festival.

Scott’s photography has been featured by The Los Angeles Times, CNN.com, SFGate, and many more publications around the country. His 2021 photo, Smoke & Moonlight II won 3rd place in the 2021 Natural Landscape Photography Awards "Nightscape" category, and is currently on display at the Yosemite Museum as part of the Yosemite Renaissance 38 exhibit.

From 2018-2020, Scott documented the indigenous rock art of California, writing about his experiences throughout remote areas of the state, culminating in his most enthralling photo-narrative yet, The Other Cave.

Scott works full-time as Creative Director at New Revolution Media, a video production agency in San Francisco, and spends his early mornings/sunsets/weekends pursuing art & adventure.
